In what is unquestionably the largest out-of-the-ground project in Omnibuild’s history,?the pair of twisting?towers at 76 11th Avenue (known as “The Eleventh”) will be our most-high profile one as well.
Encompassing 895,000 square feet and abutting the Highline, the mixed-use project designed by?BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group?includes a 137-room luxury hotel run by the five-star Six Senses?brand. It will be the flagship resort for the brand in the United States. The rest of the space within the 25 and 34-story towers will be 247 private condominiums and 90,000 square feet of retail space.
The design brings back memories of the “Turning Torso” in Malmo, but since there are two buildings at “The Eleventh,” a sky bridge will be part of the connection?between?the two. Both towers will offer up 360-degree views of the Hudson and Manhattan.
Construction is scheduled for completion sometime in 2019.
